Which one was it? How long?
Do you miss the simplicity of one or two main edcs?

For me it was a Spyderco Delica 4. It was my first good knife.
Probably carried it four months :D
Even after all the customs and Sebenzas and XM-18s and SNG's. I can't say any of them blew my hair back like that one. Or really performed much better.

Easy,a Buck 110 that I carried from 1978 to 85.The second longest run would be an original M.O.D.Keating Hornet with 154CM steel, carried that for 6 years.

Had to go back 1000 photos in photo bucket for a pic of this one.
Microtech Socom 1995 (as I recall) I loved collecting the Vero Beach MT folders.
Seems like a long time ago............
Here it is...... still carry it now and then.
Drilled & tapped it for tip up carry way back when.
(Back when you could call & they would send free clips in the mail) LOL LOL
Off set it a bit to my liking.
Glad I kept 'em all. Still some of my favorite folders. LCC's, Terz's, Socoms, etc.......
But this is the one that got carried the most. Held up great, with a super heat treat on its 154cm blade.

An original Spyderco Military, with the 440V blade. Been carrying it for about 20 years. It stays sharp for a long time, and it's never given my one reason to change.

Is that the original finish?

I carried my first Spyderco Endura from 1991 until 2002 when the lock finally gave out. I used it every day because thats all I had back then.

A Benchmade Rift. Had one in my RFP everyday since I first got one maybe 3 years ago (?) Right when they first came out. I carried the multicolored G10 with 154CM at first but now carry the M4 version. I carry 2 or 3 other knives with me so my other knives get some use and there are some great ones that give it a run for its money but don't quote top it. My S90V Manix 2 and Para 2, ZDP Stretch 2 and Caly 3, and Kerahaw Volt in M390 get a lot of carry as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting some but these are all great knives. I have lots more NIB but they just don't seem quite good enough to add to the rotation.

I've carried a knife of one kind or another since childhood, but the ones I've more or less settled on, and have carried the most consistently, and for consecutive years are the two I like most for design and usefulness. Those are a Spyderco Delica (2007), and a Victorinox Explorer Plus (2009).

3 years for EDC for a MOD CQD Mk 2, which happened to be my first folder as I didn't get any folders from 2006 till mid-2009 (financial constraints) so I had to make do with it. :o

It's a tie.
Girl Scout Knife, Age 7-13 when I donated it to my cousin.
Vic Explorer SAK from 13-18 when my brother lost it.
Gerber Rosewood and Brass "vintage" lockback (which I found at ~ age 14) from 18-23, when I lost it.
From then, it was a few Vic Spartans or Classics which I'd invariably lose, break, or get taken away at the airport ~ every 5 years.
After 3 years of carrying nothing, and being miserable for it, for the last several months there's been a Shallot or Leek in my rfp, with a 940 or Manix2 in my jacket pocket. As often as I beat it up and grind it away to resharpen, I doubt the Shallot will make it 5 years.

My EDC for just over 5 years was the Benchmade Skirmish 630BK1, stills works beautifully but I felt it was time to move on to a smaller EDC. The BM 630BK1 may be the best/my favorite production folder that I've ever bought....wish they'd fire up production again.

Back in the 70's and 80's a Buck 303 was my daily carry for about 10 years.

My Large Regular Sebenza.

I carried it for 5+ years until a couple of months ago when I put a Military back in my pocket. The Military was carried for a bit, then a Para 2 became my EDC. However, the Millie and Para 2 have gone back in their boxes and the Sebbie is back on duty.

My Sebbie still locks up like a bank vault, just as she did when I first took her out of the box more than five years ago. Just simple titanium and steel perfection, IMO.

I carried a Spyderco Rescue Clip-It in my flightsuit for 5 years. I also carried a first generation Benchmade AFO attached to my rescue harness for 5 years that continued its service in my pocket for 10 years as a police officer, so 15 total. I have since committed to rotate my EDC more now but I always have my Case wharnie bladed mini trapper as my deep pocket carry.

Gerber evo tanto- it's been apart of my edc system for almost 3 years, until I lost it 2 weeks ago :(
It's an old friend of sorts.... Been through alot with it

Benchmade 930 kulgera. I EDCed it for about 2 yrs or so, Till my sebbie found its way into my pocket. It still rides with the sebbie every now and then though.

My old Buck 301 stockman. I carried that knife from 1967 to the mid 90's, and I still have it. Carry it nce in a while for old times sake, and it's still good to go.

Carl.

Benchmade 940 carried 2 years, lost it , went and bought another 2 days after I lost it, carried that for 6 months found the first one, now i have 2 :D:D. All together carried for about 7 years, still do but switch up alot lately... Between those 2 ;), and a few others... Great knives, never let me down except for leavin me .

Benchmade AFCK bought in 1996 and still carry on occasion. Now i'm waiting for the sprint run AFCK to ship from knifeworks and a chance to see how this M390 steel performs.
