Caught myself thinking which knives I'll be bringing along to carry at X-mas. Which ones do I consider suitable for the occasion... hmm didn't decide yet.
What will you be carrying and why? (don't forget the pics)

I'll probably be carrying the 0561 just because it's amazing but I will probably get some new steel throughout the day so I think It'll change up a few time.

I will also be carrying the A.G Russell in that pic as well (Fantastic knife BTW)

I'm not sure about the knife but I'll def.have the Wingman handy for opening all the blisterpacks that are bound to be unwrapped. I wish the "package opener"was more widely available.

My bloodwood Mnandi is usually what comes along to family get togethers. But since there will be kids' packages to open I'll probably bring the trusty small Insingo.

I'll probably also have a few extra knives on me for my family members who never have a knife and need to get to their goods.

Most likely my Spyderco Sage 1 CF. It is a very classy design but more than that, It has a very discrete clip.

We are headed out to visit my Mom, who lives at the Gulf Coast. Therefore, I'll be carrying my yellow Spyderco Salt so I can take it fishing!

I'll have two, one for me and one for anyone that needs to borrow one. Last year my sister in law decided to use my S30V Blur to cut wire ties. This year there will be a Kershaw Crown (or maybe a blunted scissors) for a loaner. I'll probably bring the 0560 or 0561 for my own use.

Chris Reeve Large 21 in the right front pocket and a small 21 in the right rear. Spyderco Street Beat as a necker, and an AG Russell titanium 3.0 in the left front change pocket. There will also be a Black new style Spyderco Dragonfly plain edge clipped in my right front shirt pocket.

Never leave home without an assortment of handy tools for any occaision.

Merry christmas to all.

Spyderco Endura frn.

At 5:30 a.m. when the kids wake me up I'll still be in pajamas. The Endura is light enough not to pull down my flannel pajama pants. Endura also works great for cutting packing tape and cardboard.

Same here. It will probably be my Sebenza and a small slipjoint of some kind.

Ill probably be carrying my old beat up and slightly polished CS ak 47, sak cadet and tinker

I have praised and praised that little package opener:D Yes, a knife will open one of those packages, but we all know how kids are with their little fingers when the toys come out. That little sharp hook is way safer than whacking away at the ties with your 4" folder:) I got the Wingman for Christmas last year, and I plan on clipping it to my jammie pants first thing in the morning as I know Santa is bringing the lil one lots of toys in blister packs:)

That said, my wife has a long tradition (before the kiddo) of getting me something sharp and pointy every year. It's usually the first thing she has me open up so that I can give it a work out first thing:) Still, the Wingman is going into rotation for the holiday as I know loved ones are getting my daughter a lot of overly packaged crap that I'm going to have to cut open immediately:D

My rotation will bring the 581 Barrage up for that week and I think it will work well for opening packages. But the idea of a loaner knife is also good, I'll have to think of what I have in my collection that would be good for this.

I usually bring my newest purchase for Christmas-gift opening duty, with a Swiss Tool Multi-tool for zip-ties and battery instalation.

This year, it will be the Bladeforums' Kershaw Skyline in blue G-10 and S30V, with the Case/Bose collaboration Lanny's Clip just for showing off.

The Swiss Tool will be making it's 11th appearance, and is still one of my favorite Christmas gifts of all time.

I just ordered a Protech Godfather with carbon fiber inlays. I've often heard about it's quality and quick opening ability, now I hope to have a little box under the tree and something to play with while the relatives are glued to the football games, etc.

A William Henry B10 Lancet for Christmas parties and shopping. A mini grip for opening presents. And either a 940 or Manix 2 when working around the house.
