Which knife magazine to keep?

I subscribe to Blade, Tactical Knives, and Knives Illustrated. The last two are bi-monthly which hardly satisfies the "itch" but I am going to cancel two and keep one.

Which?

I am sure that Tactical Knives will go as it really isn't about knives that ...I... usually go for.

I don't subscribe to any of them, but as a regular reader of all three, I'd go with Blade.

I would type the very same advice, but Shann already did it for me.:)

For me it would be Tactical knives since that is where my interest is. Blade is just a bit to pricey for me. Not the magazine but the content, they have a multitude of articles on very expensive and fancy knives that just would never fit in with my budget or life style.

My vote goes to BLADE as well. ALthough I was a bigger fan of knives illustrated til I was taken off the shelves in my area. TO be honest I wasn't sure if it was still in print. Take it easy.

Keep Blade. That is one knife mag that has consistenly provided useful information (to me, anyway) about knife, care, use, etc.

I gave up KI a long time ago, and gave up Blade eventually, too. Bladeforums is my "magazine" of choice now, and better value for the money, even at Platinum rates.

For the price of a subscription I can't complaint, I got Blade and TK. If I had to choose only, it would've been Blade.

think i would go with TK over blade like what MUZZLEUP said. I think Blade is into more artsy style knives.

I too think Blade covers the higher-end of "Knifedom." And to that end, the ones I (and I assume most of us) can't afford. And on the basis of memory alone, they seem to have more annoying adds than the others. Although, it does come monthly and is something to read. BUT, you could go to Barnes and Noble and just read it for free.

Personally, I wish Tactical Knives would get their @$$e$ to produce monthly!!! They kill me with this, every other month crap... the wait in unbearable.

Read Blade at the store, and keep the other two. That way you don't have to remember what month they're coming out, ha, ;-)

$.03 - yeah, that's right, THREE

i'd have to keep the Blade, i used to be a steady reader and always loved the articles. and yes it does have a lot of high end stuff but even if you can't afford them you can still impress people with your vast knowledge, of stuff you can't afford. later, ahgar

Tactical knives is a rag. They had a supportive article on Allan Blade the known con-artist/knifemaker. That plus numerous other ethical lapses (they have reviews written by people who design knives for the manufacturer of the knife they review) has crossed them off my list. Most of their articles are more like ad copy for the knife. It does have great entertainment value :)

Blade is a steal at the current subscription price of ~$20 compared to the per rag price of about $4 or 5. If you like older knives and customs, try a free knifeworld subscription and see if its worth $2 an issue every month.

I'd dump them all, to little, to late, about knives I probably not bother buying anyway.

Better info, more timely, and real reviews on BF.
