What do you guys think between these three choices as a next knife?

1. Benchmade 14205

2.Benchmade 14905BT (axis lock auto)

3. Zero Tolerance 0200

This would be a carry knife and for me in Kentucky, the auto is legal (CCW permit).

I'm new here and to knifes in general... I think I have a sickness :D

Technically, it's a disease. You can probably even get gov't assistance... :)

I really like that BM 14205. Any are a good choice, though.

The ZT wouldn't be my first choice because it's a really big knife for me. I'd go for the 14205. Nice knife.

1. ZT
2. Benchmade
3. HK
I have the ZT 302 and the ZT's are awesome knives.

I concur. I have two 0300's a 0302 and a 0200. If you don't want the Speedsafe, I think the 0200 is a total steal at less than $130.

0200 all the way from those choices IMHO. And the 0200 is somewhat smaller than the 0300 series for the record. Slimmer at least.

The BM14205 is a personal preference of mine.I like it even more than my 710(which I didn't think was ever possible).I've never seen or heard about the auto until now,so no comment on that one.The ZT is a tank of a knife, built as tough as they come.If you like big folders, the ZT's the one to go with.

Good Luck :)

The 0200 is a great blade, great value but is very large, it can't really be compared to the other two. I love mine.

Great choices. I would rule out the auto up front. The auto feature takes away the joy of the axis lock IMO. Between the 14205 & the 0200, that's a very tough call. I really couldn't tell you which one I would choose. I really like both of them.

this is tough lol.

I agree with you guys on the auto...I think that one is out as I just can't justify the $60 more dollars for an auto when I can open the axis lock just as fast. So it's between the 14205 and the 0200.

Shike that is a great trio:thumbup:. Is the thumbstud pretty easy to manipulate on the 14205?

I've kind of gone on a rampage in the last month since I got into knives....so far I've picked up these;

Microtech Ultratech
Benchmade Griptilian 551
Benchmade 3550
Kershaw Shallot
Benchmade H&K Tanto

:o

Thank you! Yes it is imo. The only drawback I see in this knife is that when closing the blade (releasing the axis lock) the blade drops pretty quickly. It doesn't seem to have a detent like the Millie. You just have to make sure that no fingers are on the way. The knife is sharp enough as to give you a nice cut with just the weight of the blade. It's a very well made knife and I am very happy with it.
