I need a balisong, currently the picks are BM42, Microtech Dragonfly,Tachyon, Blackfly, Typhoon Kit, or Spyderco SpyderFly. The knife has to be less than $120. Right know I'm leaning toward the Microtech Dragonfly because of its convienent size, reasonable price for the materials (154CM, and T6 Aluminum), and the lifetime warranty. This knife will get used for flipping, but it will more likely get used everyday to do everything (cut boxes, envelopes, packages, kitchen, clean fish, etc.) But here's the problem. I am 6'6 and my hand is about 4.5 inches across. Would the MT be too small? I'm not worried about the latch problem as it will be immediately be removed. Please feel free to add any choices you think will work.

You will probably get a lot more replies if you post this in the balisong forum.

The BM42 is the best flipper due to the size and weight. It sounds like your primary use will be EDC, and flipping is secondary. If you are comfortable with the larger size of the BM42 as an EDC, go with it. It is a bit larger than I prefer to carry as an EDC. The Tachyon is great with the Ti handles, but they are hard to find and will run well over your price. The BM will run a little over your price also, but not near as much.
Of the others mentioned, I would go with a Dragonfly for EDC. The aluminum handles are a little light for flipping, IMHO. The handles have 4.5" of grip length and that should be ok even with large hands. I would pass on the blackfly as the finish will marr with use. The spyderfly blade design is not really a utility EDC design. All of the ones you mentioned are quality knives worth their price tag.
