Which knife should I buy?

I have been doing some research about many knives and narrowed down my choices to the Tops Tom Brown Scout or the ESEE RC-3. Which one do you think I should buy and why? Also, if you can recommend a good knife and/or gun review website please do so.

Thanks!

They are similar knives, but I'd lean towards the ESEE. You are buying that knife for life as it would be hard to have a better warranty policy. The ESEE is more simplistic with less frills, which is usually a plus in my book.

I agree..... the ESEE is the same steel (1095) and I think both are heat treated by Rowen. The difference comes in the warranty. From the ESEE website "If you screw it up, break it, or cut it in two with a cutting torch, send it back and we'll replace it." Cant get any better than that. Anyway..... thats my opinion for what its worth. And I love my RC-6, so maybe I'm biased.

Moving to general...

And while I'm moving, I'll give you my highly personal, subjective perspective. For me, while I acknowledge TOPS knives seem to be great products, for some reason every single one fits my hand like a clunky piece of metal. I can go down every single one of their knives at the gun show (in fact, I do this a couple times a year!), and even with literally scores of knives on their table, I can rarely find one that just fits my hand right. Obviously, if your hands are different than mine -- and they are -- you might find exactly the opposite, TOPS fits your hand perfectly and ESEE lays there like a prybar. The moral, really, is that if you can find a way to handle both knives, and gun show tables are great for this, I strongly suggest holding off until you can examine them both live.
