Hello i would like to know which knife i should get i need something strong good at slicing and i would prefer a folder right know i carry a cold steel recon 1 but would like something else looking for something under 100$ but i can go higher it will just take longer for me to get it

The standard answer for this question is usually Spyderco Delica or Endura for less than $100. Right at $100 is the Benchmade Griptillian. If you want to spend a little more, the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 is a good one at $125 or so.

seconds on the para2, or if you are on a budget the spyderco tenacious performs well. that being said my best slicer is the humble opinel, it outcuts anything i have tried so far

well from what i have seen so far i like the spyderco paramilitary but it will be a while before i get the money so i might as well see what some others say

Why don't you look around the forum a bit? There are tons of threads with great knives, pics and all. A bit of bouncing between the forum and a google search should set you up with a nice knife in the price range you desire.

Paramilitary 2 ( which I got today) or a Griptilian, both are just awesome. Love them both to me there's something extra special about that Benchmade axis lock, ergos perfect on the Spyderco- take your pick!

hehe .. my 1st spyderco is a paramilitary 2 and after having lots of folders, its still one i will love to carry.

Delica/Endura if you don't want to wait, but if you can afford it, the Paramilitary 2 would be my first choice. The Griptilian is overpriced IMO.

Since you're used to the Recon 1 then I wouldn't go smaller than the Endura.

The Endura is a great slicer but, for a "strong slicer", then the Paramilitary 2 seems the obvious answer.

PM2's run $100~$130 depending on model and dealer.

Manix 2 XL is quite strong and a wicked slicer. It should actually outslice the Para 2 as it uses slightly thinner blade stock and the broader blade allows for a more acute grind. It's also comparable to your Recon 1 in both size and weight and will run you just about $100 on the nose.

I was going to recommend a Manix 2 or Manix XL. Both are a great value around $100.
