Got a little money to spend which should I get?
Benchmade Bali-Song with Tanto blade $99.90
or
Emerson CQC-7 with Tanto blade and Wave feature for $79.95
or
Ken Onion Boa for $85.00
or
CUDA 2-T This is the CUDA knife with Tanto blade with the Black Titanium coating for 54.00

Which do you guys like. I like butterfly knives back when I was a teenager. Now they just look punkish to me, still it is a Benchmade. I'm a little worried about the Emerson being rough on my pants and the liner lock issue. The boa looks cool but it's 440 steel. The CUDA I like the looks of but I've never played around with the disk thingy they have on it.

What do you guys think?

I recomend the Benchmade CQC-7 instead of the rest. However I would also pick the Emerson CQC-7 if you had to stick with the list. The Wave feature will wear on your pocket, but its not the only way to open the knife, I have one without the wave and Like it allot. The liners on the CQCs seem to be better than most of the others such as the Ravens..

1st choice would be the Boa. It's not just "440", it's CPM440V. V is for Vanadium. CPM440V means no sulphur and no phosphorus, and less silicon content. 440 and CPM440V are completely different. It holds an edge better than ATS-34.

2nd choice would be the Benchmade bali-song. It's never too late to sport a mohawk! :D

Welcome to the forum, Cross_Steel2!

That's a tough question. Everything you've mentioned seems like a great knife and you appear to like the chisel-point/tanto style blades. I like the looks of the Boa and have heard great things about 440V. BTW, is the balisong 440C or D2?

If the CUDA is a framelock, I'd say get that and don't worry about the rest. Otherwise, I'd choose the Boa.

Here I go with an "out-of-the-box" answer again, but buy yourself a Spyderco SS Endura or Police model.

Those are good prices. I think:) . Where are you getting them from? I have about $100 to spend on a knife, also.

Get Emerson or Boa. I have a BM CQC-7 and it is really a special knife. I can't afford the Boa right now, but I have other Kershaw Ken Onion models and all are pretty smart. The blade steel on the Boa is also better than you realised, but someone pointed that out already.

Well you've already said that you'll probably be getting the Bali but my choice would be the waved Emerson. The liner lock problem is not a huge problem like it was in the early years and the wave is a pretty nice feature.

It will eventually wear away at your pockets but as mentioned above you don't always have to 'wave' it open.
