Which knife would you...

HAVE to buy an identical replacement for ASAP if you lost it? I was out hunting this evening and realized I didn't have my small Sebenza in my pocket. At first I thought I had lost it but then was pretty sure it was home on the dresser (which it was-whew!!). Good thing I had my Grohmann along 'cause I had to field dress a couple of bushytails. Anyway, the thought of having to buy another to replace it was somewhat painful but I realized that, no doubt, I would HAVE to replace it with another small Sebenza. I've come to enjoy it so much that I find it irreplaceable except by another Sebenza. Any one out there feel the same way about a particular knife? Or would you just buy something different?

This is an easy one. I am addicted to Microtechs. If I lost any of them I would have to replace it with the same knife.

Hoodoo..I'm with you.

Definately my small Sebenza.

Another would be my Victorinox Soldier, the other knife I carry every day. Not really a problem here though...I'd just go to the drawer and pull out one of the other four or five Soldiers or Pioneers that I have. Not before an appropriate memorial service however.

The klotzli I had stolen from me if I ever get the money to buy another. I loved that knife.

BM940, BM710hs, & BM350bt. If anything else got lost I'd probably replace it with something different. (Even the mini-AFCK, if I lost my 812s I'd replace it with an 812hs)

Hoodoo,

I am with you on this one. I would have to get another small Sebenza if I ever lost mine. The only thing I could even imagine getting instead of a new Sebenza, would be an expensive custom from Allen Elishewitz. No production knife would come close to the Sebenza, IMHO.

I've got a few NIB BM705 Mini-Axis in a safe place should that occasion arise!

That's probably a good idea. Look what happened to the Wegner Jr. That's another knife I would hate to lose and now they don't make 'em. Anyway, you've just given me a reason for buying a "backup" small Sebbie. Yeesh.

I feel the same way about my Large Sebenza. I can think of a ton of knives that I want, but nothing will ever replace my Sebenza.

I, too, have 3 NIB BM705's as a backup for my carry 705BT. In addition, I'd also have to immediately replace my BM 940, Spyderco 440V Native, and my Crawford Kasper Neck Knife.
