Which knife

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new knife in the 100-150 dollar range and I have a few I'm deciding between. They are the spyderco paramilitary 2, spyderco yojimbo 2, and the benchmade griptilian 551.
Let me know what you guys think is the best overall choice out of these knives or if you have any recommendations on other knives share them with me. Thx

I have a benchmade 940 b.plain edge myself and I really like it. I know you didn't put it in your list of wanteds but it's right in the $150 area and it's really a great knife so I thought I'd suggest it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any experience with the knives listed to maybe compare the 940 to the knives in my post. I'll definitely look at the 940. It seems to have a shallow blade and handle which I'm not a huge fan of.

Also how do you like the axis locks on your benchmade?

Swap out the 551 for a 552 Ritter grip and go with that one :D. The Ritter grip is a really great knife. I have a Para 2 and although it is a really really good knife I do wish I picked up a Ritter grip first. Ive had my Ritter for about 3 weeks now and it hasn't left my pocket.

It's nice but the Ritter grip is about 210 dollars on ebay. Did u find it cheaper?

I haven't seen a Southard in person yet, but I have owned all three you had in your original post. I sold the Griptillian, loved how smooth it was, but I wasn't impressed with anything else about it, especially the cheap/ugly handle. The pm and yojimbo are two of my favorites, but I like the Yojimbo just a little more. The Yojimbo doesn't seem like it hogs my pocket as much, and it's the knife that made me realize how useful a warncliffe can be for everyday carry.

No I only have the spyderco vallotton so I can't help you much there, but the axis lock on my 940 is awesome, I read somewhere that you could stick the handle in a vice and hang 150 lbs off the blade and it won't fail. Don't know what truth there is to that but...The 940 is a nice size and is about 2.7 ozs compared to my Spydercos 6.5 oz.

Nvr mind. I found it for 120. Wats better about the 552 vs the 551

I believe the benchmade 943 is a little more similar to the griptillian but don't know for sure never owned niether.

Blade shape, blade steel and stone wash finish. You can use the knife like crazy and it will not show wear. The S30V blade also takes and keeps a better edge than the 154cm. The Ritter grip is exclusive to knifeworks so if you are in the US it has free shipping.

It's still has the same plastic handles as the rest of the griptilians?

I would recommend against the Yojimbo 2. Theone I had pinched the holy hell out of my finger when held in normal girl (both hands) and the detent was more of a chasm and super hard to open.

For knives in the price range I liked, the ZT 350 is great if you don't mind a recurve. The Spyderco Junior is a sweet little compression lock folder. If you don't mind a heavier duty knife bought used, the ZT 550 should blow your friggin mind. With the recent price hike, I can't recommend any Benchmade knives. At their new price point I don't see the value they used to have.
