Which knife?

I want an extra fixed blade knife or 2 to keep in my car/truck survival pack. Prefer stainless & drop point. The 2 I identified as reasonably inexpensive are the Benchmade Rant DPT - low $40's (recommended by Doug Ritter) & the Boker Arbolito 516. Both are 440C. The Rant has a removable handle (I am a bit leary of this). The Boker has a soft rubber textured handle (is this OK?). Any comments or advice?
Any other ideas?

Advice> be careful having a fixed blade in your vehicle. Be sure and know the laws in your state. Where I'm at you can't have a fixed blade in your vehicle.

I know not the advice you were asking for, but thought I'd mention it.

I keep a cheap FB in my vehicle at all times - a CRKT Companion. It's low-grade AUS 6 but, in my view, is one of the best 4" FB designs and simply a great knife for a very low price. I also don't worry about it like I would some of my more pricey blades. The Companion is one inexpensive knife that has always impressed me. (Not a drop point, though.)

I've got a SOG Field Pup in a day pack behind the rear seat of my truck and a Buck 119 in an emergency bag in the cargo box. Both nice knives for minimal cash, but can't say either qualifies as a drop point.
The Benchmade NRA Snody looks like it might meet your criteria. Saw it going for $55 the other day.

I would get Darrell at Mt. Sequoiah Knives to make me something. Price-very reasonable, outstanding. I did. Mine's in O-1.
