Which Knife?

I have a budget of anywhere up to $200. I'm ok with A/O manual, or full switchblade. I'm only 15 but have been raised with knives and knife safety my whole life. I don't care if it's flashy or just a good work knife. Any opinions/recommendations? And if it helps with laws or anything I live in Arizona

Save up an extra $50 bucks and you can get a Severtech standard. FYI, Aaron has his shop in Tucson.

I would recommend a BM 710 AND a SAK Super Tinker. There is alot you can do with those two and you STILL get change back.

Honestly, for $200, you could get several good knives, and start a collection. Why get just one knife? It may be high quality, but you won't enjoy it as much, in my opinion. Explore your options, pick up several different styles of knife, and see which appeals to you the most...

Also, don't be afraid to save some money. Buy a knife or two and save the rest. If I had saved from age fifteen, I'd be way better off than I am now...right now I'm broke. :(

I can see where buying more knives would be a good idea, that way I can find out what I like more. The only benchmade i have is the BM 42 and my my Emerson are the only knives I consider "high end"

Well at 200 you have a few options. It depends on what your looking for. You could try another BM. If you do that, I would recommend getting something with the axis lock. It's the best lock IMO. You can get most of the axis knives for under $130 new. Of if you want to try another maker I would recommend a ZT 301. It is a great knife. But at $236, you may not want to spend that much. Also Bradly Cutlery is coming out with a new Bali. It will be about $100 shipped. It is made by Kershaw.

Take a look at the, BM 520, and 940 if you decide to go with a BM. Give some thought to the ZT though. I did not want to spend the extra money when I bought it, but I am very glad I did. IMO it is one of the best values out there.

If you like the 42 I highly recommend an 806.

But first I'd suggest getting a 31 because face it, your 42 must be lonely.

Yes, Aaron will ship it to ya. But if you do get down there, hes a real nice guy, and if you contact him ahead of time (has to put away stuff that people cant see) he will let you tour his shop. Aaron runs a one man deal and makes some great looking, VERY tough autos.

Severtech? never heard of it. I'm in phoenix/ Scottsdale but I will see if i can convice somebody to drive me.
If I can't do they sell online?

If you save a few more bucks you'll be able to get a Zero Tolerance 300. Other knives within that budget:

Spyderco CF Military, Paramilitary, Endura Wave
ZT MUDD 0500, 0200
Benchmade 14200, 960

maybe its just me but im not sure who would sell a 15 yr old an auto, then again, i know some sketch dealers:D
