which knifemakers use machines all the way?

I don't quite know how to ask this question?

Some knifemakers have very basic equipment, therefore they are somewhat limited when it comes to complex grinds or drillings.

Others have access to machines and therefore can do more complicated stuff. I'm thinking about Brous Blades for example. He is a professional machinist and therefore has the equipment and experience to make knifes the way he does, with perfectly symmetrically (grammar check please) ground off edges and big drillings in the handle.

So, my question basically is: do you know which knifemakers (other than him) have such equipment and experience? Because I'd like to have a knife made that has these little details.

A good portion of the big companies

You're probably gonna pay some dough for them to draw up a CAD and devote an entire setup process just for one knife.

So just to clarify: do you want a knife with complex milling and turning done to the various components or do you just want a clean looking knife with some frills like fullers, Hinderer-like lockbar, oval thumb hole, jeweling, IKBS, etc? Keep in mind the more a knife becomes made by machine the closer you will get to a production feel. If you like symmetrical, clean, and smooth functioning knives made by machine buy high end production folders and forget customs, unless of course you are a brilliant designer able to acquire a collaboration deal with large production companies with a plethora of fancy machines. However, there are some makers with such equipment and incredible ability who MIGHT be able to make you a knife, a few are: GTC knives, Dwaine Carrillo, Serge, WDZ knives, DireWare, Munroe, and Tim Galyean.

Grammar check: with perfect symmetry.

I hope this helps.

There's a VERY talented guy here in Bladeforums who goes by Nathan the Machinest. Does incredable work using CNC, various mills, etc. Just do a forum search for him. You will also find him most often posting in Shop Talk. Good Luck!
