My current favorite knives to play with are my BM 943 and BM 42. The 943 is just so darned fun to flick open with my thumb. It's easy. It's quick. It's great! :)

My old BM 42 with the painted handles and standard latch is a blast to flip. No, not really fancy flipping, just simple stuff. But, it's fun! And, the clacking sound
of that traditional latch does add to the enjoyment.

Whichever one I have in my hand. Next best is the one closest to me that I'm not actually holding at the time.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but basically I'm not prejudiced. :D

I don't play with knives. Its a nasty habit to get into. Just like playing with guns or playing with fire.

When I was growing up on our ranch we used to play with knives, guns, and fire in a big way. We also made bombs (usually with black powder) and rockets with the old paper soda straws and fff black powder. We kept our playing confined to our property. We weren't distructive. As far as I can remember none of us got hurt playing with all that fun stuff, other maybe a minor nick or scrape. We all graduated from college and have led pretty normal lives.

Too bad these days there are so many limits on our freedom to play.

ps We also used to play in a big way with electricity (large Tesla coils, etc.).

I have two that I can't keep my hands off of. Never use them to cut anything, but they do get fondled:

Kershaw E.T.
Camillus Lev-R-Lock

It happens, My sister in law works in the ER and they get half a dozen or so a day. Knife cuts that is. Very often its just playing around which often results in some costy repair to the player. However the doctors love it.;)

My favorites are anything Spyderco makes, I have around 50. They are the best production knife on the market IMO.

I like to play with butterflys the most, axis locks can be entertaining also. I can move some fixed blade around pretty agily (sp), but that becomes very dangerous and I don't recommend that.
Really, I'd say that you can't beat a butterfly knife for overall fun. -I don't see how you can beat it really.

I think the Arc Lock is a lot smoother than the Axis locks. I like to play with my SOG X ray the most. It's so smooth!

One of my savvvy buddies gave me a spyderco. It's all stainless and serrated to boot. That baby flips open at the drop of a hat and cuts at will!:)

When I want to play with a knife it is always a trainer/drone. I gravitate to the Emerson Karambit drone for playing usually.

Favorite knife to play with is my Spyderco Military. Love that clunk sound when the blade locks open.

All of them. Some of the really fun ones:

Endura 4
Delica 4
Chinook I
Sebenza
Large Grip

I don't play with my knives. But some get EDC'd more frequently because they are so satisfying to use.

I agree. It's pretty damn stupid to sit around flipping bits of razor-sharp steel around.

That, however, doesn't stop me from playing with anything with an axis lock. Yeah, it's stupid, but I'll probably keep doing it until I lose a finger.
