Which large EDC would you choose, Kershaw 1725CBBLK or Zero Tolerance ZT0350 ?

Hi guys. I'm ready to buy a new folder. I want a larger one as my Leek and Scallion are small to medium in size. I've narrowed my interest to the Kershaw Junkyard Dog2 1725CBBLK and the Zero Tolerance ZT0350. (I like the tiger stripe, coated version of that ZT). Which folder of these two would you guys recommend or choose as a large EDC. Would you recommend a different large EDC rather than one of these 2 ?
The ZT0350 has the S30V blade and the 1725CBBLK has the composite blade with the CPM-D2 cutting edge. I have a couple knives made of D2 steel but I've no experience with the S30V steel, though I've read it's a very good steel choice.

I edc a 0350. If you dislike assisted, or it is illegal where you live, simply remove the torsion bar. I have used it for 4 months every week on garbage duty for cutting up cardboard boxes and have only touched it up because I'm OCD when my knives stop shaving hair. It still retained a perfectly functional edge that would easily push cut paper, I just like it a little sharper.

Thanks. I don't own a ZT yet but the ZT0350 is a great looking blade and I'm seriously considering it. That JYD2 1725CBBLK limited edition from Dave looks great too though. A hard choice for me. May end up with both!

The ZT 0350 was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I absolutely love it.

Both the 0350 and JYD2 certainly have their merits. Both have great ergos. Edge retention and toughness between S30V and CPM-D2 are comparable. The CPM-D2 technically isn't stainless, but I've never had rust issues carrying my CB Leek in my sweaty pocket in our scorching summers. The 0350 has a recurved blade, which can be a bit trickier to sharpen versus the simpler edge profile on the JYD2. The 0350 has a 4-position clip, whereas the JYD has a monstrous clip that I'm not crazy about. As has already been mentioned, the 0350 is asssited-opening, and the JYD2 is manual. Both feature a very stout liner lock.

Personally, I like the 0350 a little more. You can't go wrong with either though.

Here are some side-by-sides of a 0350 and JYD2.

Here's one that also has a Leek for comparison.

Notice that the Junkyard Dog with a 3.6" blade is noticeably longer than the the 0350. Between the two I'll take a third: ZT 0770 in Elmax.

The 350 was my first ZT and since Ive pickup a few more. I also have a JYDII. Ive modded the JYD a bit. Since then its my most carried Kershaw. I still carry the 350 but prefer the JYD and other ZTs

If price is an issue, there is also the stonewashed Blur with Elmax. Kershawguy has these as well

The 1725CBBLK looks like a superior blade shape for easy sharpening. I'd fit it with a carbon fiber clip, tip up. Keep the stock clip for flippin' pancakes.
