Which Leek? 440a or Sandvik?

I see both steels offered in the leeks. Which one should I get? What's the difference between the two?

Also, did Kershaw change their serration pattern on these knives? Some of the picks look like there is a pattern (small serrations and the a large one, then small again etc), while others of them look like there is one small serration that is repeated without any breaks. Well, obviously they changed them, which ones are the new ones?

Thanks!

All currently produced leeks are the Sandvik steel blade unless you were to get a S30V or composite blade which has a D2 cutting edge. The 440a models are older knives no longer made. The sandvik steel blade is superior to the 440a. As far as serrations the "large one, the small again" is also an old model. The current serrations used on the leek models are the scalloped serrations which do the job very well.

Thanks, that's helpful.
