Chris Reeve Knives, Fans:
I love the simplicity of the Sebenza. Chris Reeves wouldn't remember me but I spoke to him at some NYC shows and on the phone. Classy guy, classy knife.
The integral lock is, in my mind, genius. Quality control has always been there for me. I like the large Sebenzas. I have one right now (have sold about 5 over the years!). It's a new (just purchased from True North) large classic Sebenza with micarta for added grip.
Now, I'm looking for a "decorated" piece as a companion. Also a lefty. Also a classic. Also large. Initially, I'm leaning towards a unique decorated handle design (hopefully mirro polished) --- with or without a carbachon(sp?). (Not sure which one, of course --- any pics I can view for something similar.) I love damascus but need stainless and don't know if it's available on a classic model. If it is, which damascus pattern would you recommend?
I don't know if it makes much sense on a classic blade but I'm also lusting after a blade with a swedge. (Stainless or damascus.) Also, maybe double studs.
Price is an issue but I plan on keeping this knife for a long time. And in good condition.
Any suggestions or pics? Any NYC shows where C.R. Knives will be there for a possible pick-up? Tx!
