I've heard that you should use "Blue" loctite for securing pivot screws on folders that want to wobble loose. I see that Loctite has a llot of different #'s on their bottles (like 111, 243......) Does anyone know the # for the correct Blue Loctite? Thanks

Not real sure of the number, but it's the blue stuff commonly found in automotive stores (I've used the same stuff in the past as a gasket sealer).

When you get ready to use it to set your pivot screw, make sure the blade is open, and I'd suggest using a toothpick to apply it to the threads. It only takes a little. Once you get the screw set where you want it, let it sit - blade open - overnight so it can harden.

Hope this helps.

SPX nailed it. Do not use a lot. You do not want it to seep out under pressure when you reassemble. A thin coat on a couple of threads in the middle will do and one drop is way too much! Clean the screw and pivot before you apply the thin film and you should be good to go.
