I know Fehrman and Daniel Koster use CPM 3V but who else would you recommend?

I've been thinking of a general use camp knife. The Ferman Shadow Scout might work but I've been into thinner blades lately.

I was thinking maby 1/8 inch thick CPM 3V with 4-6 inch blade.I also would like a more traditional look.Any ideas or links to a maker would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to hear from any Shadow Scout owners as I haven't ruled it out yet.

Thanks
Randy

Zero Tolerance model 0100 fixed blade. Very nice knife, built very well, more of a chopper than a slicer but sharp enough to do either well. Joe

Thanks to everyone for the input and links.

Do you think CPM 3V is a good choice for a thin blade?

I would think so. Tough and good abrasion resistance. But the shadow scout is an excellent choice also.

I like the looks of the Shadow Scout.I have a 10" Hood Hunter and like Fehrman knives.Lately though I've been using much thinner blades for everything I do.I don't baton and I love the ease of sharpening a thin blade. If the Shadow was 1/8 or maby even 3/32 I would jump on it.
