So here is my problem, if you really wanna call it a problem. I want a Mean Street... I think. I had an AD but wanted something with just a bit more blade and just a bit more handle... seems the MS is the way to go. I like my knives thick. So I don't want to go through two or three MSs until I get the one I want. I know the older Mean Streets were .25" and some thinner and some thicker. What is the thickest current production MS that I can find. And how do I identify it by name? Are there Fatty Meaner Streets? Looking for something at Least .20" but would much perfer .25" or as close as possible. I know there are some that are .220". So are their any that are thicker and reasonably priced... By that I mean nothing like the Off Duty which I found was over a grand. Appreciate the help guys.

I'm no expert but I think the current standard Meaners are .19 or .20 inches. I think mine is .20 inches. You might check out Badmojo.com and bussycollector.com for more info.

With the width of a Meaner Street, .20" thick is more than I could break unless I used a vise and a big cheater. The latest CG Meaners are sabre groud so the edge geometry is equivalent to a thicker full flat ground knife.

If anything, I like a thin full flat meaner. The #9 .170" meaner I got in the 'ganzaa sounds just about perfect. I wouldn't mind a little thinner but .170" certainly isn't too thick.

My suggestion is to get any of the newer .200" meaners from the Miliganzaa or the company store. When you see the light, they are great modding material for a full flat and satin finish.

Were there any Mean Streets (of any era) that had the safety orange handles... That would rule!

I also went for the #9. I would have liked it even thinner but i am hoping it will be a slicer. At .170" it will be my thinnest Busse. Lookin forward to it.

I have not seen orange, but the red is pretty flashy!:D

I think there were some black and orange G-10 but I'm not 100% sure.

G-10 scales seem to be a fairly recent trend on Busses, I don't think you will find anything beside the Meaner Street with G-10 and I have never seen a Meaner in hunter orange.
