I want to help a friend of mine who is knifemaker, but he can't participate to the forums due to political circonstance. How can I share his works and give him a little bit? I volunteer to do it, I don't receive any commission from him. He wouldn't even know where I post his stuff on the internet.

Thanks for any answer and suggestion.

At the very minimum you would need to upgrade your membership to:

KnifeMaker, Craftsman, Service Provider.
Allows KnifeMakers sales in the KnifeMaker For Sale areas, private messaging, attachments, media gallery, advertising their website in profile & signature & more.

However, because you are representing & advertising him, most likely you would need to upgrade to:

Dealer Membership.
Allows Dealers to sell on BladeForums.com in the Dealers For Sale Area. A Dealer Membership is required to advertise or mention your retail website in any fashion.

More detailed information here:

One of our moderators or Spark could tell you exactly which level you need.

If you are asking about posting his knives for the purpose of selling them (which I assume is the intent, since you mentioned commission), my interpretation is that you can't.
From the Exchange Rules: Sellers/Selling: #3:
No sales for third parties. If your "friend" wants an item sold, they must create their own account and list it themselves.

That's fair. Thank you.

If you really wanted to do this, I believe a dealer membership could work. You should have possession of the knives and you would be responsible for shipping and handling problems. Nothing I would volunteer to do for free. I would just tell him it does not really work .

He doesn't tell me to do anything, it is my idea. Anyhow, this is a question and it is answered.

Sounds like the dealership would be most appropriate for your situation.
