Sup BF!
Its time that I give back to this great community and buy a membership but I'm not sure I fully understand the rules with memberships.
As a natural progression for a tinkerer at heart I started making knives a few months ago. The forged in fire episodes finally got to me and I said I CAN DO THAT TOO! As one can imagine these are not very good blades yet and may never get better as a hobbyist. TBH I would be ashamed to try and sell them for profit but I figured I may trade them with other hobbyist like me or trade them for materials or something. I have read the rules on trading but Im confused on the rules about being a knife maker. Would listing knives I make on the trade forum bump me up into the knife maker bracket?
Also, I know it says memberships below knife maker I cannot promote my knives but would I be able to post pics for people to critique, show how i am progressing or in the threads on what are you carrying today and such. Does that also require knife maker status?
I am all for giving back but like most im not rich and have a family that comes first. A knife maker membership is a lot for a hobbyist where there is no intent for profit and I dont want to be sleeping on the couch for the foreseeable future!!!
