I'm a bit confused by the choices, please help me if you have experience on these little fixed knives.

- Mikro Slither II, ~$75 ($64 if black handle is chosen) (5'', 2''blade A2)
- Mikro Canadian ~$63 (5'' 1 3/4'' blade A2)
- Mini Canadian Skinner ~$65 (6'' 2 1/8'' blade A2)

I want an everyday carry small fixed blade for any delicate or hard kind of work.

I like the mini because it has a larger handle. Ive owned a slither and a micro and found them somewhat uncomfortable. On the other hand, the mini is one of my favorites because of its comfort and size--a perfect light hiking knife.

Welcome to Bladeforums! :)

The Mikro Slither has a very short, thin, razor sharp blade. Beautiful knife, but too small for general utility. It's a great neck knife for fine work.

I like the Mikro Canadian myself, even though I have fairly large hands. It has a good three finger grip with that broad handle, and a thick, strong blade. The Mini is also a very good knife, but I prefer my Mikro.

I have owned both a Mikro and Mini, ultimately kept the Mikro, it's one of the most handy little blades you'll own!

The Mikro Slither has a two finger grip. Very small.

The Mikro Canadian has a three finger grip. Surprizingly useful. One of those knives, that cuts bigger than it is, to steal Spyderco's phrase. The Mikro Canadian is A2 (high carbon), the Mikro Canadian II is 12C27 (stainless).

The Mini-Canadian is a four finger grip. The handle scales cover three fingers, and the choil offers the fourth.

I can carry the Mikro C at work without hassels, so it's the one I usually EDC. The Mikro S is best for detail work - the two finger grip is just too small for me for normal use. If the regs at work ever change, I'll be EDCing the Mini-C.

There is also the Trickle, a pointy two finger knife, and a few Long Trickles, which is the pointy blade on the Mikro C handle!

Cheers!
Steve

welcome to the forum!

This thread came out at the right time- I am trying to decide on the Canadians right now- and all of these esponses make me want BOTH!

Thanks for your answers :)

After I learned you all, some corrections to my post
1. Slither is a 4'' long - 2 fingers A2
2. Mikro II is 5'' long, 3 finger A2 carbon blade
3. Mikro II Canadian 5'' long, 3 finger and 12C27 stainless blade
4. Mini Canadian is 6'' long, 4 finger A2 blade

I decided to go for A2 and bought Mikro II with green handle, it is almost identical to Canadian. If I like the blade I'll buy a canadian with orange handle next.

Thanks again for your answers, it was very helpful.

I got the orange micarta handle myself, and also found this ivory handle with mosaic pins.

I love my Mikro.... it's great!
Although, I find that I actually use my Imp more often. Check out the Imp and the TUSK.
