Which Mnandi?

Alright...

I haven't bought anything in awhile, and I've sold off a ton of my collection.

I pretty much only EDC my small 21. I have a couple WH's I like that are safe queens, and a couple other knives. But really everything but the Sebenza is disposable to me.

I've been thinking about a Mnandi for a long time. I think I'm ready to buy. The question is...which one?

Anyone got any recommendations? Pictures I can drool over? So far I think some of the richer wood designs catch my eye. I'm also a fan of box elder...

Knife porn anyone?

Will the Mnandi kick this small seb out of my pocket? Also can anyone recommend a place that carries a good selection of these? I see pieces here and there, but no one with a bunch to choose from.

I struggled to find a large Seb Spalted Maple and could not. Then I "settled" on a box elder and could not be happier.

ive been eyeballing a mnandi with cocobolo scales with a ladder or raindrop damascus pattern for quite sometime, but been procrastinating on it...

The first one I purchased was a preproduction with Zerocoti. The second was a CRK/KnifeArt collab with Redwood Burl. I finally settled on one with African Blackwood to carry.

The Mnandi was probably the hardest knife to make a purchase decision on. Simply, most of the insert materials look exceptional. :D

This is terrible. I thought the addiction was through with. But now, I want an inlaid small sebenza, and a minandi.....

:(

I wish I could find a retailer that had several choices in stock.

saw those, which is what made me finally decide =)

was hoping to get even more photos. The deep color of that box elder burl is just amazing.

I wish there was a local dealer that had a selection to choose from.

I'm a fan of the warmer, darker (richer?) wood Mnandi's too, and lucked out on my first and only lefty here. I also love the nice buttery white plain mammoth ivory ones too.

My mind was made up for me. I bought my camel thorn for $250 from a dealer who was giving up his dealership. It's a beautiful inlay, but I'm not sure there are any that aren't nice.

I scored one of these presentation ironwood Mnandi's recently.

The dealer sent a special batch of ironwood to Chris Reeve to use in these knives.
