I bought this spyderco in the early 90's. The closest i can find to it is the Spur. However, when i bought the knife I don't think it was called the Spur.

When it started to get dull i gave it to a friend to sharpen for me. The dumb asshat went and ground some of the seratioins right off. So now i would either like to replace the blade or have it reground.

So does anyone know what the original model name was? Or was it a Spur all along?

Oh cool, yep thats it. Pro-grip its an exact match. thanks so much for that link. But in 1991 it sold under the name Pro Venator. Took a little bit of searching to figure that out.

Actually, ProVenator was what came to mind first, but your pic looked like the Pro-Grip on Ted's site when I went to look
Glad i could help :D

The C13 was called 'Pro-Hunter' first, but that name was already taken by another knife manufacturer. Then the name was changed to 'Pro-Venator' but that name didn't work very well. So it was changed again to 'Pro-Grip'
All are the same knife. The steel, and number of serrations in the combo-edge model changed however over time. Yours looks like an early one with the G-2 steel mark.
