hey guys, i got this knife in a trade for a watch i had that the person wanted, and im a guy who likes nicer knifes and ive known that the busse name / scrapyard name so i traded him. i got home and tried identifying the knife so i would know exactly the name, but i cant seem to find it as the tip of the knife is what has thrown me off. the knife is about roughly 10 inches long (thats a 8x11 paper it sits on) and would say the blade is roughly 6 inches long and maybe a little over a 1/4 inch thick. the tip of the knife seems to be a factory modification as the back spine is clean and crisp and a the looks of a machined angle and not just a metal being chipped. also what would this knife be worth. and my appologies on the less than stellar pics from the iphone as i dont feel like breaking out my DSLR this late at night.

thanks

Dumpster Mutt Double Cut, great buy. It has a "penetrator tip"

The DMDC version of the popular Dumpster Mutt features a Full Height Flat Grind, .250 (1/4") thick SR77 Blade that has been Double Cut finished for non-glare purposes.

Specs at a glance:

Steel: SR-77
Hardness: 58 - 60 Rc
Handle: Resiprene C

Thickness: .250"
Blade Length: 5"
Overall Length: 9.5"

They are still listed:

It looks to me as if a previous owner filed/belt sanded a tip chip smooth. DMDCs were the last Scrap Yard knife produced under their "old business model" of making knives, then selling them. The new model is that, other than show knives and military overruns, they take orders before manufacturing the knives. DMDCs were a special priced item at $79.95 (+S/H) when released, but they don't come up for sale often.

Jnphares, seams right looks like the tip has been "fixed" nice knife for sure.
