Hello, guys,
Could you tell me which models of Busse are still in production and where I can buy them?
I also found information on this website http://www.equipped.org/shot99-1.htm that steel for Busse knives will be a bit different. Does anybody know for sure that it has already happened?
Regards,

Hey Omega
Busse's model range is just changing and the website is still being reworked.
As far as I know, only the Active Duty and the Assault Shaker (neck knife) is currently in production.
You can see pics at www.badmojo.tv As to availability, you might try to call the shop at (419) 923-6471
If I remember correctly, Modified INFI is no longer made. The article is from 1999 and the Basic Line has pretty much been replaced by the
SwampRat Knives made of "SR-101" steel. (Excellent steel, BTW!)
Hope this helps!

Welcome to the forum Omega.

As Bo (Porcupine) said, the Basic line was discontinued. The Swamp Rat line is definitely a worthy substitute. The steel in it is called SR101, and is essentiall a slightly modified 52100 steel.

As far as the Busse Combat line, the entire lineup is undergoing some design changes. Blade thickness, finishes, handle design and thickness, and some aspects of blade design and size are being readied for release.

To see some of these changes, do a search back for the Blade threads from last June, as well as the Blade West threads.

Sorry I don't have then handy right now.

I hope this helps.

Mike

Wow, a shot show report from 1999. Prety cool. Back in the old days it seems.

Is the Active Duty still in production? Is its design or specifications (e.g. steel, thickness, etc.) changing?

Burtzolotar, fear not, the Active Duty will continue to be offered.

The major change is that it will be offered with the Combat Grade black "krinkle" finish, and, if I remember correctly (don't quote me on this..I'm remembering from Blade SHow last June...) it will be offered for $187 in the newer version.

Hope this helps.

Mike

Thanks, guys,
Could you tell me when their website will start working again. I have seen their German website, but there are four models of knives.
Do you know what they intend to produce instead of Badger Attack if it is no longer in production?

There will be a new version of the Badger Attack, based on seeing the model at Blade '03 in Atlanta. Very cool stuff is on the horizon. I'm not sure even knows when the web guy will be done with the site. He is at the mercy of the technology and those who know how to use it my friend. When it does come on line, it will be very worth the wait.
