I bought a Benjamin Sheridan .20 caliber air rifle from a friend of mine, and two tins of Beeman .20 caliber pellets. I have not found these .20 caliber pellets anywhere, BTW, he sold me a .22 caliber Crosman air rifle several months later, and I've had a hard time finding .22 caliber pellets, but I've found them. Anyway, I've seen them on eBay running about two or three dollars per tin, which isn't bad, but the shipping is often times outrageous! Several weeks ago, I was at a small local gun show, and found a tin of .20 caliber pellets, and the guy wanted ten bucks! They were regular Crosman pellets, sold in every Walmart across America. Was that price outrageous? Was I cheap? I've seen .177 and sometimes .22 selling for no more than 3 bucks a tin. I CAN BUY A BRICK OF CEE BEE CAPS FOR LESS THAN THAT TIN OF .20 CALIBER PELLETS!

Not just online vendors, but brick and mortar stores too. Not Gander Mountain, not Dicks Sporting Goods, not Walmart, not even the local gunstores.

Stop down at the Camrod Pikesville Gun & Knife Show weekend of March 4 & 5

I have a couple of 200 pellet cans of Beeman Cro Magnum .20 pellets for $4.00 ~ .20 Silver Arrow for $5.00. All air gun ammo is priced 1/2 off as I am closing out the airgun part of the business. Half price on all .177 and .22 pellets also.

www.straightshooters.com will do you right. They have a deal where you buy 5 tins or boxes or cases and get the 6th free. At first their prices don't seem competitive, but when you calculate the overage others charge for shipping, plus the 20% you get "free", they are one of the best.

Also, Tim at http://www.mac1airgun.com/ has an annual "whole lotta lead" sale in April where he gives deep discounts if you order early and don't mind the delay (he has a whole lotta orders to fill this time of year). It's a really good deal.

.20 is my fav caliber for an air rifle, but even in the UK where airgunning is really the only shooting sport .20 choice is limited. Can you aproach the maker and get a case of it, meaning a few 100K rounds, it may seem expensive but it should see you through to the end of the life of the rifle.
