Uh, that is supposed to say "the least," not atheist. Stupid computer...

I would say that on my EDC Spirit, the tools that get used the most often are:

Pliers,knife, philips, cap lifter/combo tool.

The least used would be the chisel, saw, and flat screwdriver blades.

My edc lately has been a Wenger Tradesman. I use the knife, scissors and flat screwdriver the most. I use the awl and can opener the least. The pliers fall somewhere in between.

I used to use all the tools on the LM Skeletool....

...until I decided they were too "holy!" :D

I couldn't resist!

i have to say my Sak awl is used most
least is probably the bottle cap lifter, but i like having it just in case :)

Used the most:
#1 - knife blade (opening boxes, clamshell packaging, etc)
#2 - Cybertool bit driver (#2 Phillips & #1 Pozi - mostly)
#3 - cap lifter (as a pry tool or flat screwdriver, most bottles are twist top)

Used the least:
most of the other tools are used occasionally as needed, not every day or every week and maybe not even every month. I supposed the least used would be the awl, hook, corkscrew and pen. They are still handy to have for the times that they are needed though.

all the tools on my LM wave were used atleast once. for saks i pretty much just use the blade, bottle opener/screwdriver, scissors and the wine screw came in handy a few times.

the hook thing(i don't know why vic still puts this thing on most of their models still), fish scaler(the ruler on the side i've used), metal saw, and chisel are the ones i rarely, if ever used.

I'm carrying the Victorinox Cadet a lot lately and on that particular model I use the blade most and the bottle opener least. On the non-alox SAK models it's the hook that I use least. The blade is still the most use tool.

When I'm carrying an alox SAK, I sometimes add the Leatherman Juice S2 to my EDC and that's mainly for the scissors and pliers. Again the bottle opener of the Juice S2 is a tool that I haven't used yet.

I use the knife and philips screw driver the most.

Just used it yesterday.

I have a keychain squirt that I use the bottle opener for beer lately and it works but isn't that good ....doesn't grip the cap easily.

Usually I'm carrying a Wave or Charge. I'd say order of use from most frequent to least would roughly be:

#1 plain edge knife
#2 pliers
#3 large screw driver or bit driver
#4 can/bottle opener
#5 serrated blade
#6 eyeglass driver with flat blade
#7 file
#8 scissors
#9 saw

They all get used though, and it doesn't take that long for something to come up that requires even the less often used tools. I used the saw a couple times this last week during yard work, and the file was a real life saver in fixing a friends 1860 45LC conversion revolver that had a nasty factory burr in the wedge slot.

There are two categories of multitool that I tend to use differently, although with some overlap. Of these, I spend more time with Leathermen pliers- based tools than Vic SAKs, although I like those for some purposes. Over years, all the implements on my Swisschamp have been used, except the small backspring mounted screwdriver, knife and scissors probably the most. I really couldn't say how often any of the the tool set got used, that varied over the years with lifestyle and circumstances.

All the implements on my Leatherman Charge get used, some of them daily, although not always for their designated purposes. Pliers, of course, PE edge blade and combo bottle/can opener probably get equal time as most used, followed by, in (unreliable) order; large fixed screwdriver, ph regular bit, scissors, file, serrated blade, saw, ruler and way back there bringing up the rear, that wretched little "eyeglass" bit, which has been used maybe three times in 3 years, only once doing any good :grumpy: . I'd gladly trade it for an awl, but in the meanwhile I use a mod that fits the quick release slot. Good enough.
