Which new factory maker for a R1303 or R1306 lockback would you like to see ?

Title says it all ,

This pattern is mostly made by Queen (moutain man ) , I have red Cold Steel had plan to make some but I never seen one for sale...

I think Fallkniven with his fit and finish quality (ie perfect lock) should have a try on this model , even with micarta (non traditionnal) scales !

Technically, only Queen actually manufactures its knives. Cold Steel contracts theirs out all over -- the US, Taiwan, China, Japan. Fallkniven also has its knives made in Japan, maybe by the one factory there, though, which would account for their high level of quality control.

To answer your question, however, yes I would like to see more companies try it, it's a great solid working pattern.

A few of the Cold Steel Ozark Hunters have shown up on Ebay, but so far I haven't been able to snag one. They were made under contract by Camillus.

As the resident raving loon for the R1306 pattern, I would love to see a few more makers step into the ring making them. Especially with Camillus gone now.

Fallkniven with modern materials would be interesting!

Sure, I have red some time ago in TK magazine that Cold steel was making traditionnal patterns (2 blade folding hunter , trapper , and 'Remington lockback') , I have never seen one of the later for sale ! and now Camillus is closed...

but I believe there is a market - FALLKNIVEN are you listening ?

The Cold Steel "Country Classics" series were all made by Camillus, sadly the Ozark Hunter didn't make it into wide production before the line was discontinued. In 3 years, I think I have seen 2 on Ebay, never actually held one, but I keep my eye out!
