Hi all,

I started collecting knives about 6 months ago. Because of this, I do not have the ancient collection of folders ranging over a span of years. However, when I first started collecting knives, I researched to find the most popular models. I have purchased some other knives that appealed directly to me, but here is a brief summary of my collection of popular knives:
When I first started researching knives the one that jumped out at me everywhere was the spyderco tenacious. It was an inexpensive folder that had good materials and high value. This was the first "higher end" (basically better than walmart :) knife that I purchased. Since then I have purchased the kershaw leek, kershaw blur, kershaw skyline, spyderco delica, ontario rat model 2, and benchmade griptillian. Then, I really started reading up on high end knives and about two weeks ago I purchased the spyderco para military 2. The para 2 kicked out most of my other knives and I have been almost exclusively carrying it since I purchased it. So, I though it would be interesting to do a quick poll and see how many of you own the same knives I do. Just for fun, I will add my two favorite SAK and the leathermans I sometimes carry. So, lets see how many of you own the knives I do and feel free to post with any additions, comments, your own story etc.

Para 2.... I got "bit" by the knife bug and don't really own anything under the $200.00 mark besides that Para's... and in my opinion, nothing touches them for ergo's price, reliability etc... An awesome knife.

I have 10 knives in my collection, and there is a para 2 and a custom grip. The closest thing to the leek would be my chive or my kershaw zing.

Own a Para 2, great knife but prefer the Military.

Owned a Leek but gave it to a coworker who didn't have a decent knife.

Not on the list but, I have a Victorinox SwissChamp & Classic SD Stayglow

I own seven of the knives on this list, plus a Wingman - but the one that most often goes into my pocket is the RAT 1.

Unless the goal of the poll is to measure coincidence of ownership amongst any single owner of any single one of these knives, this poll doesn't make much sense. I don't own any of them, so I am not counted (unless you measure my being on Bladeforums.com and my having attempted to click the button without making a choice, but that isn't an option and won't show on the results page).

Then again, I don't care that much!

I don't own any of those, but I do have a Persistence, which is in the Tenacious family. It is my least expensive knife, by about $110, and I still love it.

Odd that two of the most-guessed knives, the Buck 110 and Victorinox Classic, didn't make the list.

I do own both of the knives and completely forgot about them. In a way they are so common that when I think about my knives they are so used to being there that I forget about them. I don't know if it works to edit the poll because at this point, many people have already voted and it would not reflect the results well

This is more a reflection upon what knives I have, through research, decided to purchase. This is one of the reasons why the vic classic and buck 110 (knife staples) are not included. I did little to no research before buying those two knives because I already knew (without much previous knife knowledge) that they would be great knives. This are my knife nut purchases that were ones I knew nothing about before getting into the knife world.

I am suprised that the SAK Farmer and Cadet are listed but the Soldier/Pioneer is not. If you had ask about SAK Alox, the results could have been much different.

BTW, Out of all the knives listed, I own three. Benchmade Griptillian, Leatherman Wave and Victorinox Cadet.

I only listed knives that I own and can speak for. I do not own a pioneer yet but hope to soon

I own a Farmer and a Cadet. I also own several Spydercos and a few Benchmades but none that are listed.

If people would like to comment with their top five knives I can create another poll with the 10 most commented knives

Armenate, glad you are enjoying your new or enhanced hobby. They can be addicting. Certainly being active on BF feeds the addiction to own more. I only own the Delica. I believe I have a Vic Cadet somewhere in my pile of Vic SAKs. In hindsight it surprises me that I don't own a Vic Farmer, but I do have 111mm SAKs with the saw blade. Never really been that attracted to Kershaw knives although I do own a couple including a ZT. The ZT was one of my first "higher end" folders and have been pleased with it.

The PM2 is very popular. It is just a tad large for my taste to EDC and pricey just to own with little intention of using it. I do have two Enduras which I don't carry.

My "leathermans" consist of a Vic, a SOG, and a couple Gerbers. The Gerbers were the first ones I purchased years ago.

Good luck with your hobby. Maybe in a year, your list of knives will be too long to fit in a poll. :D

At some point or another, I've had all but the Wingman. The Delica, Leek, Skyline, and Mini-Grip have all spent a fair amount of time in my EDC rotation.
