Price is about the same, I kinda like the first one better. Never owned a benchmade before. Any one own one of these?

Moved to General Knife Discussion.

I like the top one on looks alone, but keep in mind I am not very picky on folder locks (maybe I have just handled and carried too many multiblades to consider lock safety that big of an issues.

You do know that neither knife you are showing is an Axis lock, right? You are showing two different Limited Editions of the Benchmade Elishewitz 690, which is a linerlock.

There is a Benchmade Elishewitz Axis lock, available in a couple Limited Editions (if that's part of what turns you on), and that's the 73x (ie, 730, 732, 735 - all the same design, slightly different materials) series. The base model, currently in production (all other 73x versions are aftermarket only - ie, sold out), is the 735, with G-10 and 154CM.

If you're choosing between a 735 and a 690, I'd go 735 hands down, although the 690 is very pretty.

If you're actually choosing between the two 690 variants you're showing, they're the same knife with different appearances - go with whichever one appeals to your aesthetics.
