I would like to see a fixed blade version of the Spyderco Civilian with a thicker blade.

Spyderco Massad Ayoob

Also a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande

The Delicas and Enduras would be good

Full tang and options for full serrations on all.

Def agreed on the Vaquero and the civilian! Id like to see a fixed benchmade lum dejavoo as well.

- Spyderco Civilian, but make it bigger, longer about 10" blade , thicker (1/4") and heavier, with thick Micarta scales

- spyderco Barong, Maybe about 16" blade for a small one and 22" blade for a large. 1/4" thick, Micarta slabs

- Spyderco Manix , make it 14" blade, a little thinner than 1/4" , micarta slabs.

- Emerson Super Commander, maybe a 10" blade

- Emerson A100, maybe a 10" blade

I would like to see a fixed blade Blade-Tech RIJBAK. That would really make my day with about a 4 inch blade.

Not really a folder but I love the Microtech Ultratechs blade. A 4-5" fixed blade would be awesome. A Benchmade model 42 butterfly knife blade would also make a cool fixed blade.

I don't think the folder/fixed line should ever cross each other, like the bm bgrip fixed and the hissatsu folder by crkt...

I've always loved how my Kershaw Shallot feels in my hand. I was thinking the other day that it would make a fantastic fixed blade with a slight redesign of the blade.

I agree with MOF. Every design is a compromise or balance of properties. You optimize certain properties to design a folder and others to design a fixed blade. If you take one set of optomized properties and try to turn it into the other, you end up with a hodge-podge that really is optimized for neither function.

I would like to see the Benchmade Griptilian in a fixed blade...

Oh, wait. :D

I agree with some of the points of previous posters, in that the fixed and folder lines should not be crossed; perhaps the designs can be based upon each other (something like the Temperance and Li'l Temperance by Spyderco) in their functionality, but not a straight derivative of each design. Some designs work well as compact folding knives and are highlighted by the locking mechanism and other parts of the design that are only available in a folding knife.

That being said, the Li'l Temperance/Temperance were both excellent knives, as are the fixed and folding Griptilians. If you haven't tried the Doug Ritter RSK Mk3 fixed Grippy, you couldn't even begin to understand.
