Which one, BM Snipe or Ambush?

Can anyone offer an opinion on either of these models? I know they're the imported " red class" , but I don't want to spend too much money ( but want a BM ). I like the Snipe, but I can't find any information or reviews on that model.

I have both.

The Ambush is a big knife, very sturdy, the aluminum handle feels solid in the hand. But the detent ("In Draft") is very stiff; I can open it just fine, but after getting used to Axis locks, it's a bother. The Rolling Lock works well otherwise, though; locks up solid, and mine's not prone to sticking like my REKAT Carnivore.

The Snipe was a big disappointment to me. It's also a big knife, but the blade is pretty thin for its size, and the scales feel incredibly thin and cheap. The lock works well, though.

I haven't had the Snipe, but I did own an Ambush and eventually traded it off. It's built like a tank, but my complaints were:

1. The locking system on it was a real pain to "flip" open one handed, there is a heavy resistance to overcome before it opens.

2. The aluminum handle was contoured well, but offered no grip at all. If the knife or your hand got wet, it seemed to me like it would be very hard to hang on to it.

Thanks for your reply....

Now I'm not sure about either and I do like the idea of the Axis lock, but the slim look of the Snipe got my attention, maybe I should spend a little more and get the Griptilian...
