I used both quite a bit. The BMW was lighter but the NMFBM chopped better but a bit heavier.

One more pic. BWM has a micarta handle and the NMFBM has a G10 handle. Both were used extensively for firewood and both are keepers.

I enjoy looking at the NMFBMLE more than the BWM, and that's about all I do with either of those. For a user, the FBMLE can't be beat.

Admittedly, I don't have a lot of in hand time with a BWBM, but I love the hell out of my NMFBM's so they definitely get the nod from me.

Completely the opposite for me. The NMFBM and NMFBM LE have a longer blade and are thinner than the FBM LE's (not that at 0.25"+ they are "thin"), which make for a much better practical user to me. Don't get me wrong, I love fat Busse's, but I find the NMFBM's to be much more effective overall for real world use.

Just my opinion, but BWM's are underrated. Great comfortable handle, lightweight...you can chop all day with it. Rides well on the hip. Definitely a Mistress who likes to travel.

bwm are totally underrated. don't have enough time on a nmfmb to give an opinion on it.

Agreed. These are great for the woods. Useful length, chops well for the weight, and doesn't add much weight. Don't have an NMFBM, but I enjoy carrying the BWM more than my CGFBM.
