Recently, I am interested in talonite for a knife. I've heard many good things about it. But, being a traditional kind of knife guy, I usually pefer something simpler; regular steel (carbon and stainless).

What do you guys think about talonite ? Anything bad about it ?

:)

I love talonite, but find it to be most appropriate for smaller knives. I wouldn't want to start chopping with talonite. The downside of talonite is that it can chip, and the chips can be hard to grind out without good sharpening gear. With that said, my "around the house knife" is a Camillus talonite EDC, and my fishing knife is a talonite Talon. I'm a talonite junkie!!!

I like Talonite for small EDC knives. I would not recommend it for a large heavy use knife though.

Talonite is totally Rust Proof and sharpens very well and holds an edge very well.
