Which one? FB01? or FB02?

Fellow Spydernuts, dudes and dudettes,

I have very high respect for Uncle Bill's design - especially the Spyderco Moran featherweight. The blade geometry and sharpness had bowled me over and over and over and over. Now that there's a drop point blade to complement the original upswept one which was introduced five years ago, what is your opinion on Uncle Bill's new Spydie? Muchas Gracias for the feedback.

I would probably go with the drop point. A more versatile blade, IMO.

I'm sure the drop point would be useful, but it looks somewhat ugly to me. I'm not sure why, but I think it's because the blade is kind of wide and stubby. Or maybe it just looks bad compared to the version with an upswept point, which has a pretty blade shape.

Love the new blade shape for the tasks I'd use it for.

Well, I'm sure Uncle Sal at Spyderco had a rational explanation for the FB02's drop point design. IMHO - the drop point serves more purpose as a functional camp knife. I think the price and quality is truly a winner here!

That's a million-dollar question dude! A fellow spydernut posted a pic on some on-line auction site. Maybe Patti at SFO or Joyce at Spyderco could shed some light...

Think the blade is already available om the market - but in limited quantities...
