Hello everyone,
I'm new to the blade forums and to the world of 'hawks. I'm a long time pistol/rifle guy, and appreciate good knives, but have never given too much thought about getting into hawks. Although I really enjoyed throwing one when I got the chance a number of years ago.
I'd like to get some advice from those of you who have already been through this. I currently have a Chris Reeves Project 1 and am thinking of selling this to finance a purchase of a hawk. Which model would all of you suggest that I start with? I do prefer the synthetic handle like the VN Tac or the NG Ranger. I would also like to end up with a good fixed blade knife to replace the Project 1 so I think that the NG Ranger would be out of my budget.
Or, should I keep the Projet 1 and just save my pennies to get the hawk?
