The relic looks nice. I have the Crit, it’s a handy tool.
I have a crit on order. Usually carry a small SAK in the 5th pocket but I have to admit...the one handed function of the crit is pretty interesting. Do you think that it is small enough to fit in that 5th pocket on a pair of jeans?

No it’s not small enough, it’s in my opinion a total knife solution similar to a SAK. I would say it’s thicker than a Spartan, thinner than a farmer, longer than both. But the wire clip is a nice deviation. I always liked wire clips.

Fair enough.

It doesnt hold nearly as many tools as some SAKs but it does have the ones that I use the most (blade, bottle opener, screw driver, pry tool) and it fixes both of my admittedly small gripes with SAKs.

1. They can come out of a pocket easily without a clip. I lost my Alux Cadet down my car seat for two months before realizing thats where it went.

2. One handed operation. It might be a small or dumb thing but often when I need a cap lifter, pry tool, screw driver etc I have the thing that I am looking to mess with in my other hand. Needing to find a place to put it down when I go to pull the tool out of my SAK isnt the worst thing in the world but having the one handed operation of the crit is why I decided to throw down the $70-80 to get one shipped out to me.

Oh it’s definitely easy to open one handed, especially the tool portion. It’s just so heavy it swings out with little effort. But, the knife is a front flipper… and front flippers don’t seem to be everyone’s cup of tea.

I have a few front flippers and its no issue with me. Seems like a clever way to avoid the obtrusive back flipper from making it wider in pocket. Im looking forward to giving it some carry time when it gets here.

My wife isn't a knife person, so she's claimed my Blue Baby Banter and my Jade/Natural G-10 Crit... Mostly because she can now open boxes and packages using the strap cutter without having to use a "big knife".

I need to get myself another Crit... This time the green Micarta, hopefully.
