I am really torn as to which one of these patterns I should do a run of next. This is not a for sale thread, there are no knives available right now. This is a "which one of these do you like better?" thread.

Number One, Chunky Monkey:

Number Two, Nettle:

Please vote on the poll. Vote for the pattern and the steel.

The Chunky Monkey in 52100 (I believe these will be neckers?)

And hurry up, I want one please!

Hmmm, pole results don't look good for me....

And.....I'm am idiot. I just realized there have been votes without people commenting. *face palm*

Looks like I need to order more CPM20CV!

Well, I was one of those, didn't think you wanted comments. The nettle for me looks like a suitable blade shape for my needs.
Since I posted a comment, do I get on a list for one, or will it be first come basis????
How many are you going to make????

That Nettle will make the perfect gift for my wife's birthday later this year...:D

PMs sent gentlemen. Again, this is not a pre-order or a sales thread, just a poll. Let's keep all discussion of ordering to pm and/or email. I don't want this locked.

Which steel would somewhat depend on how you are doing them (what hardness); though, if you're going on the soft side of 60, it doesn't really matter. Chunky monkey, either way

62 across the board. They're small knives, they work really well that hard. I might run the Nettles at 60-61, but the test blade at 62 works well and that's what Bead Stallsmith at Peter's Heat Treat recommended and he heat treats A LOT of steel.

Also, I'm going to have some of both patterns in AEB-L in 0.125" thick and 0.070" thick. The thin stuff will slice like a laser.

Thanks to everyone who voted. I'm going with the Nettle next. Check out my sub forum for details and the preliminary interest thread.
