I have started getting some knives together recently for my 9 year old son, he will be 10 in June. He started really taking a liking to knives about a year or so ago and he has some Bantams, Rivals, and a Canoe. I want to get some more and different models of folding and fixed blades. I am on a tight budget and fixed income and want something that is the best deal for the money. Buck sends me sales through my email and I have other sites I visit, what would ya'll recommend for the next several knives and also what sites do ya'll use to buy knives? Thanks to everyone for any help.

If you get the emails from Buck then you know about the 'web specials', those are usually good deals. The online dealers sometime have sales...
You could also fish in the bay, a person can find good deals around there. Good on you supporting your young son's affliction!;)
The Buck Collectors Club has a good strong youth program, join and it would benefit him. https://buckcollectorsclub.org/

As mentioned, the Buck 'web specials' have some good deals (price) from time to time. But do your research, sometimes the price on the Buck 'web specials' is higher than what you can get the same knife for on the bay. I don't know anything about this knife on the web special, but for the price, it doesn't seem like you could go wrong. 425 MiniBuck knife. Under $12, USA made.

sometimes dealers have better deals than a web special. pays to shop round.

If I'm being honest, the 501 is my favorite Buck knife. I carry one most of the time, and I've never felt under-knifed (though I do typically have another folder and a fixed blade, as well)

I am pretty sure that every American boy should, at the proper time, be furnished a 110 in the classic design with leather sheath. The last 110 I purchased was out the (e)bay, BNIB for $35. You may have to be patient and search for a period of time. However, the hunt can be just as enjoyable as the catch.

BTW, your son is a lucky feller. Good luck with your search.

Sometimes less is more, I had no more than a handful at that age and I appreciated them. The 501 was one of them, my main one and I carry one to this day. Good luck, enjoy the fun.

My kids have some nice knives. The ones they use the most? Mora Companion. They come in bright colors are indestructible and the sheaths are very safe.
