Really like the one piece concept, ever since I bought my Cold Steel Bushman. Which one piece model do I get for my truck? Right now, I have a short Kabar and the Bushman in there. Basically going to be a utility tool.

OK I've got a couple things to say...

1. LOVE the avatar! I'm a huge Tomb Raider fan, just got the new game for 360, and that new Lara model is beyond gorgeous.

2. I really don't think any CRK 1 piece should be left in a truck. Carry and use with pride! Let the Kabar/Cold Steel be the guard dog for the rig.

3. How big do you want it? Most of them are 4" or 5.5". I have the Mountaineer I and it's freakin awesome.

I was thinking it wouldn't be just a truck tool. My biggest user FB's are my truck knives, and my Swamp Rat Battle Rat and Cold Steel kukri machete. That said, since I use my truck FB's a lot, I'd want something extremely reliable in the truck. I understand your point, though.

The Mountaineer II and/or Shadow IV would be my suggestions (probably b/c I like both a lot). Both are very useful and good examples of the one piece concept.

SilentHunterStudios,
I've owned several of the FB's the Aviator and the Project One. If you already have a Bushman and Swamprats in the truck to handle larger duties I would recommend either the mid-size shadows or mountaineers to fill the size gap as previously mentioned, or even the slightly smaller aviator. I liked it because it had the saw which gave it a little more versatility and because it was a nice mid-size knife which easily fit on a belt. Personally, I think the ideal knife would be the Aviator 5.5 if you can find one for a good price, I wish he'd add them to his regular lineup.

I like clip points, so I would recommend either the Mountaineer II or the Mark VI. They are basically the same knife: the only difference is that the Mark VI has a double hand guard, while the Mountaineer has a single - sided guard.

I love my Nkonka, but have almost all the line of fixed blades. I would say the Nkonka is moderate in size as far as CRK's go so, how large of a knife do you want/need?

*grinning, ear to ear*

:D

Have you even considered the Green Beret 5.5"blade or if you don't like serrations then the Neil Roberts Warrior. I tend to favor a flat handled knife over a round handled knife, however, I do have a Shadow III, and a Tanto 1 but I still like the handles on both my Green Berets (I have the 5.5" and the 7"blades) but I most favor the Neil Roberts Warrior with the 6" blade, no serrations and a slight cant on the handle...I have 2 of these also, 1 to carry and one still NIB.

Which ever CRK you Choose I am sure you will be more then satisfied...great products and outstanding customer service.

Ciao
:)

I wouldn't leave a CR in any vehicle waiting to be stolen, gaa, that would suck extremely bad.

An Aviator would provide a handy size with a lot of versatility...

Truck knife? At least MK.VI and Project II would be even better! Hey, big is good! Project II iis now my car knife...

I am going to be getting first, a regular small Seb, then a regular large Seb, then the Green Beret 7", then one of the one piece FB's, then a 5" Green Beret. Follow that up with a Mnandi, probably all by 2008.

I've decided to go with the Mountaineer and Mountaineer II, probably leave the II in my truck. When I'm going to get them is a whole 'nother story.
