I came across a great coupon code that expires this evening. I will be placing an order tonight, but ned advice on which of the following to buy. Suggestions?

* Benchmade Griptilian (G10 offering is unavailable)
* Benchmade Presidio
* Benchmade Contego
* Benchmade 710
* Benchmade Adamas
* Benchmade 940/943

Which would you buy and why? Thanks!

Can you provide more info? What are you looking for?
Big? Hefty? Easily carried? Good slicer?
All the knives listed are very well regarded and will serve you well..

Of those listed, my personal favorite is the 940 - but it is the smallest of all of them listed, so it looks like you are looking for something bigger?

What will your uses be for this particular knife?

Guessing blindly on my question above and on my own experience with several in your list....the 710 or the 940. Both are great EDCs, slim carry, and pack a lotta blade into their handles.

The Adamas and Contego (esp. an m390 variant) are great as well, if you're into overbuilt folders.

Good luck in your choice!

foofie beat me to the question what is the intended purpose? I'm not a big fan of the Griptilian, don't care for the plastic handle cheap feel. I have two but that's just my opinion. The 940 everyone seems to like. Check YouTube videos on it. I have the Adamas and it's a great knife...just big and heavy. I was looking at the Contego but just bought the Loco instead. I will say I like the full size Barrage with G10 the best so far out of all my Benchmades and I have a few. But, it comes down to what you like in style and what you will do with it...EDC, deployment, etc.

Meant to be an all around knife. I'm a big fan of ZTs and whatnot so the bulk isnt a big deal.

What I carry more than anything else is my 710. Slim, a lot of blade, and easy on the pocket wear. You'll want one sooner or later. :cool:

Of the choices you listed, for me it would be the 940 or 943. I really like how much blade you get in such a slim, light package. One of the best all around EDCs.
Adamas or Contego if you want a tougher, hard use knife.
As much as i like the Presidio, the scales will tear up pockets like nobody's business.

I'm going to go ahead and vote for the presidio! I do not have nor have I handled any of the others but I can contest to the presidio, kind of..

I have a presidio ultra, the differences are the ultra has plastic scales and 440c steel. I think I would like the regular better but since I have the ultra and it was my first BM it's not going anywhere. As far as ruggedness and durability.. It's a fantastic knife. It's not as big as the contego or adamas but still in the same category as a tough, black class knife.

I'm a mechanic in the military and have been using this knife everyday for over a year and it's never let me down. I don't abuse it but it does its job and has cut many things and is a great size. Not too big, not too small. The blade is still centered, has no play and locks up tight.

If you want a hard use knife that looks good but isn't super huge, the presidio is a great option.
