The Queen Cooperhead is similar in thickness to the Queen Utility.
It is a shorter knife with a wider blade.
Disappears into your pocket, and it is stouter (more solid) than the Utility.
The shorter wider blade is easier to use for general use, but not long enough for food prep.
The Abalone scales are very beautful and make the knife very special.
The Maple has some very good wood on it, but that is the luck of the draw if you buy online.
One has a softer opening, easy to pinch, the other you need the nail nick.

I really like the Queen Copperhead as a pocket knife.

The Queen Folding Hunter is a big knife.
I would not want it in my back pocket!!
It is exactly the same as a Copperhead, but on steroids and a sabre grind.
If I carry it it in a belt pouch.
But really it is too big for me.
It is an outdoors knife, for heavy cutting.

Cumberland have very good prices on Queen

That's all I have

N.B. The Mini Hunter is the same as the Copperhead, but with a linerlock and the blade is wider, (I do not have one)

Queen are good, no problem.

But I like the Case Slimline Trapper. CV or SS

Great all-round knife. Nothing it can't do.

Except opening beers. Get a SAK Cadet for that.

You should get an Cadet SAK whatever.

If you don't mind a lockback, I would go with the Queen Mountainman. It has always served me great and the fit and finish is pretty good. I have used mine in some rough conditions when I'm glad I had a lockback instead of slippy

We can't tell you what will make you happy. This isn't a knock; I've done the same thing myself, and seen countless others do it on knife & gun forums. There are lots of individual details, things that push different peoples' buttons, and there is no one "best knife" (or gun). Maybe one is technically better than another for a given application, but there may be other, more personal or aesthetic factors in the buying decision.

Whatever you buy though, keep in mind that you will not achieve Nirvana instantaneously, and never again feel the need to buy another knife. Unless you're just a casual user (or the old guy us traditionalists yearn to be :)), it just doesn't work that way.

OK, lecture over. Once again you've presented an array of very different knives, from brutes to pearls (well, abalone). I have a Queen abalone pen knife, fwiw. While beautiful, that scale material wouldn't be my first choice for a hard use knife, while most of the other knives would fill that role.

I believe both the Pocket Hunter and the Mini Hunter are liner locks. Not sure, however.

I do like the look of that Northfield 23S, and may have to check one out in the flesh myself someday. However, given the size I'll bet it's not a whole lot more smaller than the Mountain Man, just not a lockback.

The reason the Slimline/Utility pattern knife keeps being recommended is that it's a good size for a pocket knife. The knife is your pocket is infinitely more useful than the one that gets left at home because it's too big and heavy to carry around.

If you're only going to carry one SAK I'd suggest a Vic Soldier. Big boy's Scout knife. 'Course I've got an SD Classic too, for the scissors... Both is silver alox.

honestly i am not looking for a folding buse knife. jsut cutting up carboard, whittling, and general cutting like that. ive got saks already, stockman, and trappers. hmmm the mountan man is looking good, but so is the great eastern.

honestly neemen im not sure. ive been looking at it, but i would like some size reference pics. i actually like it though. right now im looking at the mountian man, copperhead, and a GEC pioneer.
