thats a tough one... I have a tan shadow/tan satin jack, and I've had an od/black hogfsh (one of the best danged knives I've ever held in my hands :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: (grumpy face doesnt have said knife anymore)), and its a tough one to choose...
If its going to sit in a closet, tan shadow looks a little "cooler", where as plain tan is a good beater color because its reletively "plain"....
For me, the od green didn't spark any kind of visual recognition, it was just there. If I have something with shadow or grey or a color I'm not used to, I'm less likely to want to remove it then if its something I see every day or something that isn't at all flashy like a dark dark brown or black or in this case green.
SO..... my choice = safe queen go with tan shadow/tan
user go with od/black or tan/tan (my preference for heavy beater = od black because I like darker colors in general, for light beater/edc user - tan. It looks nicer to sheeple

)
ooone a these days I'ma gonna strike it rich I tells ya, and I'm gonna buy me a coating machine... I'm gonna put such crazy custom colors on my own busse's like no ones eva seens before.... deep rich purples, translucent colors greys and blacks, and oooooh the pink.... THE PINK!!!...
