Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Orange

same price range, colored, good brand ... i need help to make my choice !!! :p

what would be your ranking ?

1. Dragonfly
2. Kershaw Leek
3. Griptilian

Griptilian might only be last because I am not a big fan of the yellow at least from that picture. Depends what your going to use it for, but all of them are good choices.

I would pick the Benchmade. I like American made, so the Spyderco is out. I don't like assisted opening so the Kershaw is out. I would have to go with the mini-grip with the Leek coming in second only because I love the 14C28N steel.

With no consideration to color, I would do:

1. Dragonfly
2. Mini-Grip
3. Leek

That being said, if you got some custom scales for the mini-grip, that would probably be #1. I would also either get the ZDP or G-10 Dragonfly personally.

Well, they have different locks, opening mechanisms, blade grinds, handle materials/textures, blade lengths, steels, etc. So you are really talking about apples and oranges and grapes.

No way to rank/compare them. :(

1.Mini Griptilian
2.Leek
3.Dragonfly

I've had a mini grip for almost three years and it's never failed me and the axis lock is awesome!

The leek would be my last choice (nothin wrong with them) but the dfly and that particular mini-grip (the 555) are my favorite two knives. If the 2.25" blade is enough for you go with the dfly, its awesome in hand, if you need a 3" blade tho don't hesitate to get the mini-grip.

Also seems that you like orange, the yellow mini grip can be died orange easily with about $3 worth of Rit dye (since on mini-grips its like +$40 to get orange even tho its a standard color on full size grips) , I turned my yellow scales a deep red but if I would of taken them out of the dye bath earlier it would of been orange.

wow lots of differents opinions !!!! if we give 1,2 or 3 pts per vote for the moment it's dragonfly 1st ,mini grip 2nd and leek 3rd

3 nice choices from the big 3 of production knife making.
I would go with the Mini Grip but you still can't go wrong with the Leek or Dragonfly either.
All great blades.

1. Dragonfly
2. BM Mini Grip
3. Leek

Here is a pic for posterity and because we never get sick of looking at knives... :D

That's a tough one, all good choices, I have the Kershaw, the Dragonfly in SS but I've never had a Griptilian, still my order would go like this...

Mini Grip, always wanted one.
Dragonfly, best small/big knife out there
Leek, F&F are great, this makes a great gentlemen's knife.

1. Mini Grip
2. Mini Grip
3. Mini Grip

4. Leek
5. Dragonfly

:D Mini grip gets more use than any other knife I own.

I have a dragonfly in zdp 189 and a minigrip in d2. The minigrip is more fun to open and close but the the dragonfly gets my vote for number one. I had a leek, it was ok, gave it to my cousin. I don't care for orange knives personally, so I would recommend the dragonfly in zdp, it's a wonderful steel.

Dragonfly or grip or bust. I hated the leek and its pointy tip. I dislike most kershaws too though sans the zing and skyline. So I might be biased.

Of course it depends on how you'll use it and what you need it for:
- No. 1 for easy open/close and fun flick-ability: Mini-Grip
- No. 1 for small knife that feels like a big one, with great ergos: Dragonfly
- No. 1 for assisted opener and price: Leek

Personally, for most EDC, I would go:
1. Dragonfly (I have 2)
2. Mini-Grip (I have 3)
3. Leek (I have none)

1. Griptilian
2. Leek
3. Dragonfly

Course, that happens to be in order of which lock I like. That and blade shape.
