In May it will be one year since I went into knifemaking full time. I`m thinking of which model has been my most popular, and doing a special edition of it. I would say it`s between the Backup, Kephart, Bushcrafter, or Hiker. Which would you choose, or would it be something totally different? If something different, which one,and why?

I would guess the masses will say the backup. I, personally, like the Kephart.

i would probably have to say the Kephart... you have seemed to make a gang of those... i noticed a lot of folks have em'.. next will probably be the hikers backup...

i have both...:D

I would say it is between the Kephart and your Bushcrafter, both are rugged as hell and can stand up to any task given to them. That being said bearthedog doesn't call you the Kephart King for nothing! My vote is the Kephart! On a side note that first pic up there of your backup is my favorite pic of all of your knives. I love that photo.

Believe it or not, I actually took that photo! Most of my photos look like a 3 year old took them. :o

My choices would go:

1. Hiker
2. Bushcrafter
3. Keppy
4. Backup

Once I get my mitts on that Bushcrafter the order might change though.

Well, I love all of your knives but the back up gets the most use because its big enough but not to big. Just plain damn handy. Carry as a necker ,belt or pocket, there just is no reason to not have it on me.

I have a picture in my mind of a new Back-Up with maroon kydex and convex. siguy convexed my original one.:thumbup::thumbup:

Here Is a kind of Kephart that I made from a old French Chefs knife. It needs a new set of JK maroon mycarta scales.

Love the Kephart. Mainly because of the lack of choil/ricasso.
That said, I'm really a fan of Nessmuks but you left them off the list.

That`s what the "something different" is for. I`ll count 1 for Nessmuk.
That was where my vote went. I do really like the Kephart as well though.

I think a special edition Kephart with fancy scales and maybe mosaic pins would be cool, but maybe between now and then you could come up with a brand new design for your "anniversary knife". Anyone who has purchased a knife from you in the past could submit ideas and the chosen one gets a freebie. :D

I like it  You know how much I enjoy contests! I`m going to do it! Any previous customer who has any ideas should email them to me.
