OK I finally got my stropping stuff! Oh wait! I got to much stuff ( dont we all).
Now I don't know where I should put my compound on and where I shouldn't!!!
my compound is .5 micron CrO from Hand American.
I have these types of leather.
I 100% cowhide non coated leather belt.
Bark Tanned bowvine from HA
Horsehide (some free cuts Keith sent me) from HA.
And a Sh1t load of cardboard that I load with my high grit compound from lowes to start a polish.

If you're using compound, then even cardboard will be fine because it is the compound the removes metal. The point of a quality strop is to have the natural silicates in them do the work, when you apply the compound it covers up the silicates and will work the same as compound on cardboard.

Smooth side of the cow hide, rub in one drop at a time for best results, ya don't want too much on your strop.

Bless you, my child. :D
