Which pm2 next?

I have an m4 pm2 and it's one off my favorite carries. In personality really like the "worn" look a pains gives a knife so I love carbon steels and dlc coatings.

I've read the rex 45 patinas and I'm thinking of buying a second pm2. Knowing all this, what would your choice of steel be and why?

Unfortunately he's looking for a PM2, the Rex 45/burnt orange sprint of which was released around July 2018 and is long gone from retailers.

Yeah, my bad. I for some reason thought the PM2 was included in the upcoming REX45/burnt orange release announced in Reveal 4.

Well OP, guess if that's the PM2 version you want you'll have to buy second hand.
 
I have had about 10 PM2s and moved most of them. I have not tried the range green K390 PM2 but somehow I feel it could be THE PM2 for me. Range green is my favorite handle color and K390 holds a keen edge forever (I have a Police 4).

I've become a fan of tool steels lately and I'm really enjoying mine. The Ranger Green is something different without being flashy and the k390 is outstanding!
 
Though I cannot recommend the shop selling the K390 PM2, I bought one at the factory seconds sale, and I love the knife! The steel is spectacular! Just be warned, it takes on a pretty heavy patina. The only PM2 I've seen that patinas worse is 52100.
 
So is the k390 pm2 a dealer exvlusive or not? BBS seems say so but I found several other sites also are selling it.
 
A few questions
How does k390 compare with rex45?

I searched and only found the k390 at BBS, where else did you find them?

Why is BBS looked down on? Should I not buy from them? With shipping the k390 is $199, is this unreasonable?

It is exclusive to BBS. There are a few dealers that are collector's club members, and will have one or two to sell with CC #'s on the blade.

The price on this one at BBS is actually fairly reasonable, comparatively, to be honest. But they charge too much for shipping, and are known to sell some of their exclusives at, or near, the MSRP. They will also tell you if you have any problem with your knife, to send it to Spyderco. Basically a "No Returns" policy. Just not a dealer I will personally patronize. Some folks have no problem with them or their policies. YMMV.
