I would like to keep both but really can’t justify it. I’ve an s30 dlc that is the smoothest knife I’ve ever owned, it feels like a ball bearing knife. I also have a knife works m4 carbon fiber scales that is also pretty nice. I edc both but no super heavy use, just daily cutting tasks and occasional cardboard boxes etc. I know the m4 is technically a better steel but I really haven’t noticed much difference between the two.

So if you had to sell one which would it be and why?

is the m4 super smooth like the other one ?

edit: i also know what you mean with DLC being super smooth. I have an m4 dlc with carbon fiber scales that feels like GLASS. Its almost TO smooth, requires no effort to close.

The m4 isn’t nearly as smooth and easy. I could probably polish the pivot and washers but haven’t had it apart yet.

If you haven't noticed a difference and don't think you would in your usage...the carbon fiber / M4 version will bring you more in trade or $, and you'd get to keep the one that is slick as...well, you know.

Better steel only matters if it's better for the tasks you use your knife for. (Assuming you don't collect on the basis of steel.)

Always take the one you enjoy the most.
You can trust yourself. If you like oneversion better, it is because you have found a kind of balance between quality, function and ergonomics.

According to what you write, you havn't been convinced by the M4.
Sell it, you will have more $ from it.

Yeah keep the one you like the most. I have both and both are greatand I am keeping them. $ wise, you are going to lose some if you sell either, as kw still has the cf m4 in stock and it is moving VERY slowly. The dlc s30v being a production version wont get you much money in return either.

yep. keep the one you like more. the m4 should bring better return sold so of money is needed ......the choice is easy.

that said.....I'd keep the m4 myself as I just like spydercos m4.
